Model history

The Mercedes-Benz 107 model series, produced from 1971 to 1989, replaced the W 113 "Pagoda" and set new design standards with broadband H4 headlights and fluted rear lights. The models, designed by Friedrich Geiger, were available as a roadster (R 107) and coupé (C 107). Engines ranged from in-line six-cylinder to V8 engines with a displacement of 2.8 to 5.5 liters. The R 107 enjoyed great popularity, especially in the USA, and was known for its safety innovations and participation in major rallies such as the Safari Rally.
