Vehicle description
After the vanquish model was the last Aston Martin to be built in the 50-year-old factory in Newport Pagnell, the DB9 was the first car of the brand to be built in Gaydon (Warwickshire). While its predecessor – the DB7 – still had broad agreements with the Jaguar XK8, the DB9 from 2004 was an independent new development. Among the innovations was an aluminum monocoque. Under the designer Ian Callum, the DB9 was designed, his successor Henrik Fisker completed the vehicle. As is typical of Aston Martin, the DB9 is largely based on manual work.
From the year of construction 2008 comes this offered here and released for auction Aston Martin DB9: It was first registered in Dubai in July 2008, over the years the British sports car then came to Germany, in total this Aston Martin with the FIN SCFAD01A08GA09322 should have only 2 owners. In addition to 1 available vehicle key, the history of the DB9 can be fully documented. Although the TÜV expires in December 2022, the current owner states that a new general inspection will still be carried out before the handover to the future owner. Worth mentioning are the so-called matching numbers.
A classic Aston Martin sports car impresses with a long bonnet, the large headlights and the short hatchback – these attributes naturally also apply fully to this silver DB9. After consultation with the current owner, he states that this sports car still bears its first paint except for partial repaints in the rear right area and is in perfect condition without defects in terms of body technology. In addition, all plastic elements on the exterior can be attributed a perfect condition. Furthermore, there are no traces of a parking bumper on the front or rear bumper – according to the seller, this Aston Martin has no accident.
On original Aston Martin alloy wheels, which are apparently in good condition, Pirelli tyres are mounted with sufficient profile. The condition of the brakes is stated by the seller as good, in the area of the chassis he is not aware of any changes from the original condition or deficits.
The full leather sports seats in the interior of this DB9 are presented in two colours – in grey and black. Door panels, dashboard, steering wheel, footwell carpet and headliner of this British sports car are preserved in perfect condition, damage or even missing parts can not be removed from the interior. The equipment includes the following features: power steering, central locking, electric windows, electric seat adjustment, memory seat, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control, hands-free system and the original radio with CD player. All equipment options in this vehicle can be attested to a problem-free function.
In the instrument cluster there are 4 noble round instruments: 55,890 kilometers can be read on the display in the speedometer. The total mileage of the DB9 can be proven beyond doubt on the one hand via a complete checkbook, on the other hand via various documents. All instruments in the interior have their full function.
If you open the bonnet, a 6.0-litre V12 engine stretches out, which has 455 hp and transmits the power to the rear axle via a 6-speed automatic transmission – in which the gears can also be engaged via shift paddles on the steering wheel. In 2020, the last service work took place, deficits in the technology are not to be listed according to the seller.
According to the low mileage, the underbody of this DB9 is in a clean condition. From zero to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and a top speed of just under 300 km/h ensure exhilarating driving performance – but this Aston Martin also lets you appear discreet and ensures dignified and relaxed long-distance journeys thanks to its cosy interior. The DB9 offered here convinces with its extremely good overall condition, the low mileage and the classic proportions of a British sports car.
