Vehicle description

Model History:

The last time the Porsche 911 had an air-cooled boxer engine was in the 993 series. It originated from the 964 and had a 3.6-liter displacement, but was heavily modified for use in the 993. The power increased to 272 hp, and from 1995 it increased to 285 hp due to the use of a so-called Vario-Cam system. Externally, these models could be identified by the slightly rectangular exhaust tailpipes. For the first time, the 993 series was equipped with a 6-speed gearbox - a 4-speed automatic was again available as an option. The multi-link rear axle also underwent a thorough overhaul, now allowing even higher lateral accelerations.

General Information About the Vehicle:

The Porsche 911 on offer here is a coupe from the 993 series, which in this case was first registered for traffic with the VIN WP0ZZZ99ZTS311853 in 1996. According to the seller's information, it is an import vehicle and has been subtly upgraded through various modifications. Over the years, a total of 5 owners have called this Porsche 993 their own. A valid inspection runs until March 2025, and the history of the sports car from Zuffenhausen can be somewhat verified due to a partially maintained service book.

Exterior Color/Paint/Body:

After consultation with the seller, the body of the 993 was completely repainted in plain black. Visually, at the rear of the sports car, the 3rd brake light integrated into the roof edge spoiler and the rear window without a wiper are noticeable. The paint appears to be in obviously very good condition and all attachments to the body seem to be preserved on the Porsche without any inconsistencies. The seller can confirm that the car has not been in any accidents during his ownership. For a detailed overview of the exterior, we refer to the additional photos and videos of the car.

Exterior Wheels/Brakes/Suspension:

Tires from the Continental brand are mounted on original Porsche 5-spoke rims, with a condition estimated by the seller at 50-70%. The brakes are also estimated by the current owner of this 993 to be in the same 50-70% condition. For improved road holding, the car has been equipped with a coilover suspension from H&R.

Interior:

The interior of this black 993 is extremely sporty: Black leather bucket seats, which come from the 996 GT3 RS, create a racing feeling, as does the roll cage from the Heigo brand. Due to the roll cage installed in this sports car, the Porsche is now purely a 2-seater. In addition to a sunroof and air conditioning, the 993 has the following features: a fire extinguisher in the center console, power steering, central locking, electric windows, cruise control, ABS, a 3-spoke airbag leather steering wheel, and a contemporary Porsche Becker Mexico CD radio. All equipment elements, instruments, and controls are functional, and given the vehicle's age of almost 27 years, the interior can be said to be in good condition without any major signs of wear or missing parts.

Mileage:

Typical for Porsche 911s are the 5 arranged round instruments, with the tachometer centrally located in the driver's field of vision. The 6-digit odometer shows a mileage of 83,820 kilometers - the seller notes that the total mileage and history can be roughly traced due to a partially maintained service book.

Engine:

The 6-cylinder boxer engine working in the rear produces a solid 286 hp from 3.6 liters of displacement - this power is transmitted to the road via a manual 6-speed gearbox. A Romolos brand sports exhaust ensures a proper sound. This Porsche underwent its last service in October 2021, according to the current owner.

Underbody:

There are apparently no inconsistencies to report about the underbody of this 993, and according to the seller, the underside is rust-free. The design of the 993 was flatter, more modern, and generally more progressive compared to its predecessor - the Porsche 964 - but the 911 silhouette remains unmistakable. The 993 was the last model to have an air-cooled "boxer heart". It's worth noting that all modifications on this Porsche 993, which is up for auction, have been registered, and the black/black color combination, as well as the various modifications, make the theme of racing more tangible with this 993 coupe.
