Model history
The BMW Isetta was produced from 1955 and quickly developed into a successful model. The first 250 and 300 versions offered a large panoramic rear window and excellent all-round visibility. The "Export" version followed in 1956 with larger side windows, sliding windows and improved shock absorbers.
In addition to Germany, the Isetta was built under license in several countries, including Great Britain, Belgium and Brazil. Special adaptations were made for the US market and hot climates. A convertible version and a rare pick-up model were also offered. To this day, the Isetta is considered a cult small car of the post-war era.
