Model history

After a phase of ever larger tail fins, which reached their formal peak at the end of the 1950s, Cadillac stuck to its conservative body design at the beginning of the 1960s and permanently increased the engine output of its luxury cars. The Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado series offered from 1971 to 1978 was, like its predecessor, equipped with front-wheel drive and the models were considered the largest front-wheel drive passenger cars in the world at the time.
