There is no doubt that the BMW M3 is one of the sports models that enjoys great popularity worldwide. Among other things, it also became known as the most successful touring car in the world. The first versions of the M3 were produced by BMW M GmbH at the end of 1986, later the parent company BMW took over production. The E30 was only available as a sedan when it was launched, and a little later as a convertible. In total, almost 18,000 units of the 1st generation of the BMW M3 were produced until 1991.
