Vehicle description

Model history:

In the years from 1960 to 1998, General Motors offered under the name Chevrolet C-Series or GMC C-Series various pick-ups, which were designated in the version with all-wheel drive as Chevrolet K-Series and GMC K-Series. Over the course of the long construction period, the pick-ups were divided into 4 generations: 1960 to 1966, 1967 to 1972, 1973 to 1991 and 1991 to 1999. Depending on the year of manufacture, a wide variety of equipment lines were offered, the engine was usually an in-line six-cylinder or a V8 engine – of course, both offered typical American decent displacement. A technical relationship to the Chevrolet C / K series was in the form of the GMC Sierra.

General information about the vehicle:

In this auction, a GMC Sierra 2500 K-20 from the year 1970 can now be auctioned, which was imported from the USA and served as a four-wheel drive fire brigade pick-up. According to the seller, the exact name of this pick-up is GMC Sierra K 20 Longbed Stepside. A total of 3 owners for this GMC with the chassis number KE204FZ65124 are known, an exact history can no longer be presented after consultation with the current owner - therefore it is not known whether the so-called matching numbers are given. In addition to a Classic Data report, which certifies the vehicle the grade 2+ including a value of € 40,000, there is also an H-certificate and a TÜV, which runs until September 2023.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Visually, this GMC Sierra is from the dark red paint in an original condition with some patina, according to the seller. Over the years, a few scratches and paint damage to the body have occurred. In the course of the partial restoration of this pick-up, only the tail lift was repainted. Freedom from accidents during the current holding period is confirmed by the seller. In order to get an accurate impression of the exterior with all its attachments and in general the overall visual condition of the vehicle, we recommend to look through the meaningful series of pictures and also the various videos of this GMC.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

Tyres in size 235/70 - which according to the current owner have 70-90% of their new condition - are mounted on 16 inch original steel rims. The seller also attests to the brake system a condition of 70-90% and in the area of the chassis according to him no inconsistencies can be listed.

Interior:

When the partial restoration of this GMC Sierra was carried out, the seat of the pick-up and the dashboard were recovered with imitation leather. Gross damage in the interior are not to be mentioned after consultation with the seller of this GMC Sierra. On the whole, the interior of the GMC Sierra K 20 Longbed is designed rather commercial vehicle-like and solidly built. For a detailed overview of the interior - with regard to its condition and various equipment features - we refer to the further photos of the vehicle.

Mileage:

25,301 miles, the equivalent of about 40,800 kilometers, this GMC Sierra pick-up has run according to the mileage. The seller mentions that the mileage indication of the car is original and all instruments and displays in the interior work without any problems.

Engine

From a 5.0-liter V8 (307 cui engine) almost 200 hp are delivered via a 4-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. Last service work took place in 2021.

Subsoil:

The underside of this GMC Sierra is rustproof and sealed with underbody protection. If you are looking for a typical American pick-up with all-wheel drive, some patina and basically in its original state of preservation, this GMC Sierra K 20 Longbed is well served. This pick-up, which is now over 50 years old and has a lot of cargo volume, also ensures a high degree of conspicuousness and one or the other interested look on the roads.
