Model history
The Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud is a luxury-class vehicle that was produced by the traditional English company in three generations between 1955 and 1963. The vehicle replaced the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, which had been built since 1949, and was largely a further development of its predecessor. The striking design with its very successful lines gave the Silver Cloud its inimitable elegance, which differed significantly from the look of the pre-war models. The designers in Crewe also increased the performance and spaciousness of the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud and set new standards in the luxury segment of the 1950s with improved equipment and technology. The Silver Cloud was regarded as a flagship of British automotive engineering and is one of the most sought-after classic car models of all, not least due to the low production figures.

Comments of this past auction
