Vehicle description
Model history:
The striking silhouette of the G-model was retained almost unchanged in the Porsche 964. In terms of technique, however, the Elfer made a big leap forward. The still air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine was increased to 3.6-liter displacement and now produced 250 hp. Also new were dual ignition, manifold injection and a two-stage resonance intake system with adjustable air supply. The oil tank for dry sump lubrication moved in front of the right rear wheel to optimize weight distribution. Also new was the suspension: While the predecessors still relied on torsion bar springs, the engineers now gave the 9 coil springs.
General information about the vehicle:
A Porsche 911 of the 964 series built in 1990 will be offered for auction in this auction. This sports car with the VIN WP0ZZZ962MS401355 is an import from Italy, which, according to the seller, has a total of 3 owners and for which there is no exact history - but the mileage can be partially traced. This 964 is already in possession of an H-approval, the last completed main inspection is valid until December 2023. Matching numbers are completely given.
Exterior colour/varnish/body:
The exterior colour of this already restored Porsche is a classic sporty black colour. As a defect in the exterior, the current owner of the car indicates a crack in the engine flap - except for this damage, according to the seller's statements, no optical inconsistency can be found on the 911. In addition, all attachments are located on the vehicle and an accident can be completely ruled out. The exact condition of the paint, the body and the general visual condition of this 964 can be found in the further photos.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
According to the seller, 10,000 € alone are in the KW chassis specially optimized for this vehicle. In terms of rims, the original 7-spoke Porsche alloy rims are on the car - the tires were recently renewed. The current owner estimates the condition of the brake system somewhere at 70-90%.
Interior:
The apparently well-preserved interior of this Porsche 964 Coupé is completely black: In addition to the black leather seats and the 3-spoke Porsche sports steering wheel, this vehicle has a complete sound system including shaped and removable bass cabinets. In addition to an accessory radio with CD changer, the equipment elements include electric seats, a sunroof and power windows. All electric helpers in the car are fully functional.
Mileage
This Porsche 964 has covered 179,000 kilometers since its delivery in 1990: Although there is no longer a detailed history of the car, the total mileage of the vehicle can be partially proven, according to the owner.
Engine
The 250 hp of the 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine in the rear is transmitted via a 5-speed manual transmission to the four wheels of the Carrera 4. In July 2022, a final maintenance of the car took place.
Subsoil:
The seller describes the condition of the subfloor as stainless, cavity sealed and preserved as a whole. The 964 model series was Porsche's compromise between tradition and modernity in the late 80s and early 90s: this is precisely what makes the 964 series so appealing to many Porsche enthusiasts. A classic model variant is the 964 Carrera 2 with rear-wheel drive and manual transmission - such a sports car in black / black can now be auctioned here. If you like classic 911 looks without having to forego a certain luxury, you are well served with this 964 on offer here.
