Vehicle description

Model history:

A quantum leap compared to its predecessor E30 M3 was marked by the high-performance variant of the BMW E36 series, which came onto the market in 1992: the E36 M3. Instead of the previous four-valve four-cylinder of the E30 M3, there was now a whopping 286 hp in-line six-cylinder with 24 valves under the hood. In 1994, a four-door version and a convertible were added for the first time. In 1995, an increase in displacement to 3.2 liters followed with the corresponding horsepower injection to 321 horsepower. In addition to more displacement, the new engine also had double VANOS, a modified oil supply and other detail improvements.

General information about the vehicle:

Now a BMW E36 M3 from the year of construction 1996 can be auctioned, which was originally delivered to Germany with the FIN WBSBG91040EW36603, then went to Lithuania with its owner and is now back in Germany. In total, the coupe had 3 holders. So far, no German approval has been done, TÜV has the car so far none. A partially kept checkbook for the vehicle can be presented - a history of this M3 E36 is thus approximately verifiable.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Although externally there are slight scratches on the body all around, most of the paint of the BMW - which, by the way, according to the seller, is a special paint - is in good condition for the age of the vehicle. Repainting has already been carried out after consultation with the current owner, but the seller can rule out an accident in the current holding period. All attachments on the exterior are complete and in good condition, missing parts are obviously not to be complained about. For more details, please have a look at the other photos and videos.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

The rims are 19-inch BBS LeMans (replica) - tires are mounted on these, which according to sellers still have a condition of 70-90%. Also 70-90% attests the current holder of the M3 of the brake system. The chassis is obviously in good condition.

Interior:

Fabric/Alcantara sports seats with iconic 90s patterns can be taken from the otherwise largely black interior: the sports seats provide good grip and the equipment includes power steering, central locking, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control and an original BMW radio. The headliner of the E36 M3 was recently covered with black Alcantara. The seller states that all electric helpers and all controls in the interior work perfectly and therefore without problems. In order to get a more accurate impression of the interior and its state of preservation, we recommend looking through the telling series of pictures of the vehicle.

Mileage

This BMW E36 M3 has run 197,000 kilometers since its delivery in 1996 - via a present checkbook, which was partly kept, the mileage of the vehicle can be approximately documented.

Engine

The 3.2-liter in-line six-cylinder engine of this E36 M3 delivers 321 hp, the power transmission to the rear wheels is via 6-speed manual transmission. After consultation with the seller, final service work on the car took place at a mileage of 145,000.

Subsoil:

Slight rust on the body can be found. For more details, please refer to the picture documentation so that you can get a better picture. The current owner sells the coupe from his collection. The rare purple paint colour, which despite the advanced mileage has an all-round good state of preservation and the fact that the E36 M3 was the first M3 with a six-cylinder in-line engine, speak in favour of this BMW Coupé. If you are looking for a discreet look with a lot of power under the hood in combination with a manual transmission and can not do without a six-cylinder sound, this E36 M3 from 1996 is perfectly suited.
