Vehicle description
The E-Type is considered the successor to the D-Type, but was finally designed as a road vehicle. The market launch was in 1962 with the first series, which initially had a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine. In 1968, the second series of the E-Type finally followed, which was now powered by a 4.2 liter six-cylinder. In the final third series from 1971, a 5.3-liter twelve-cylinder was finally installed. In addition to different coupé versions, the Briton was also sold in a roadster version. In 1975, the last E-Type rolled off the production line.
The E-Type of the 3rd series offered here is a model of the year of construction 1973. The first registration took place in July of the same year. According to the current owner, not much is known about the history of the owners. Thus, no statement can be made about the number of previous owners. According to the report, it is a vehicle delivered in the USA for the first time. The convertible was extensively restored in spring 2021 by a specialist company for Jaguar classic cars. The vehicle with the VIN UDIS22366BW still has a TÜV badge until May 2022. A new TÜV and a service are currently carried out by the seller. An H-approval is also available. According to the owner, there are only a few documents about the history of the vehicle. The Jaguar is matching numbers, in addition, there is an expert opinion, which shows a condition grade of 2.
The Jaguar is painted in the exterior color "Uni Schwarz" and can be described as good according to the attached report. According to the owner, there is no further information about any repainting. According to the attached report, however, it can be assumed on the basis of the paint density that at least one repainting has been carried out. According to the statements available to us, no external modifications have been carried out. According to the owner, the convertible is externally, especially in terms of rust, in good condition and has only small defects. According to the report, the "light-dent-free vehicle outer skin on the vehicle flanks" should be emphasized.
On the E-Type are original 15 inch chrome spoke rims with low bed installed, which are apparently in good condition. The tyres of the Dunlop brand in the original size 205/70 VR15 are in mint condition according to the report. According to the holder, the brakes are in very good condition, so there are no defects in this area.
In the interior of the E-Type, the good condition of the vehicle continues in the form of an extensive black leather interior. The seats of the Briton are apparently in good condition. According to the expert opinion, the dashboard is also crack-free. In addition, some parts of the interior (center console and climate console), deviating from the original condition, were provided with a black leather cover. Damage is not present in the interior, according to the owner's information. In addition to a folding roof, the equipment includes power steering, a radio and a tarpaulin. Particularly noteworthy is the installation of a new soft top and a seat rail extension, so that even drivers over 1.90 m tall can comfortably find space in the Jaguar.
The instruments of the E-Type are almost fully functional. Only the instruments of the air conditioning are defective, according to the owner. The mileage can be read at about 81,700 mi, which corresponds to about 131,500 km.
The Jaguar has a 5,343 cc twelve-cylinder engine with a factory specification of 275 hp. Power is transmitted to the rear axle via a three-speed automatic transmission. The last service was carried out in May 2020. According to the owner, there are no further defects.
According to the statements available to us, the subfloor is in very good condition. Thus, according to the owner, no further, foreseeable repairs can be assumed.
