Vehicle description

Even though the basic shape of the Porsche Type 964 was clearly recognizable, it had received a significant aerodynamic fine-tuning: it was smoother and rounder, which made it contemporary and made the 911 look larger. The extendable rear spoiler, which was used for the first time, attracted a great deal of attention. When retracted, it gave the Elfer a more beautiful silhouette when stationary and, when extended, provided more downforce at higher speeds. Another novelty in the new series was the drive technology: the Coupé, Targa and Cabriolet body versions could be combined with either the classic rear-wheel drive or an all-wheel drive system known as the Carrera 4.

Now there is the opportunity to buy a Porsche 911 Type 964 as a convertible in this auction: The Zuffenhausen sports car was built in 1992 and was first registered in Germany in April of the same year. The 911 has the VIN WP0ZZZ96ZPS450062 and, according to the seller, has 3 holders. This convertible was first registered with Porsche AG, after which the former German track and field athlete Lars Riedel was the owner of this 911. In addition to 2 existing vehicle keys, there is also a checkbook and a few earlier invoices - the history of this Porsche can thus be traced back approximately. The German TÜV will run until October 2022 – the current owner states that he can have a new general inspection carried out. An H-approval for the Porsche would be possible from August 2022. Matching numbers and an expert opinion are available.

"Mint green", as the color scheme of this 911 with the code L22R is called, is a rather rare paint color - it ensures that you definitely attract attention in today's road traffic. According to the owner, the side panel on the rear right has already been painted, and the driver's door has also been replaced. The exterior of this Porsche cannot be said to have any serious deficits in the body, and corrosion is not an issue either. According to the seller, the black soft top of the convertible is new: This is not flawed and is also tight. Neither the front bumper nor the rear bumper can detect any parking bumps or cracks. An accident can be ruled out by the current owner.

A slight modification took place in the area of the wheels, since the original wheelset is not mounted here. The original rims (cup rims 17 inches) are still available and are of course given by the seller. Hankook tires with size 265/35 on the rear axle and 225/40 on the front axle are mounted on 18-inch multi-spoke rims in body color. Rims and tires are new according to the owner. The condition of the brakes can be regarded as TÜV-compliant and the condition of the chassis can be found without any major complaints.

Plenty of leather can be found in the interior of this convertible: As a special feature, there are turbo sports seats with larger side bolsters in the color gray. Although the sports seats have some patina, the seat upholstery and leather are in a healthy condition. Gross damage, missing parts or defects in the interior are apparently not objectionable. In addition to the turbo seats and the extensive standard equipment, the special equipment of this 964 Cabriolet includes the following features: seat heating can be adjusted left and right, seats electrically adjustable on both sides, "Symphony RDS" radio and additional amplifier 4x20 watts. The all-electric soft top can be operated flawlessly.

There are 127,400 kilometres on the speedometer of this Porsche 964 Cabriolet: the function of all instruments in the interior is given and the mileage of the sports car can be proven by a partially kept Porsche checkbook and a wide variety of documents.

A 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with an output of 250 hp works in the rear, and the driver engages the gears via a 5-speed manual transmission. In 2020, a final service took place, the Porsche drives and shifts perfectly, according to sellers. Deficiencies in the technique are not to be noted.
