Vehicle description

Model history:

The Fiat 125 was launched in 1967 as the successor to the 1800. The body was derived from the brother model 124 and extended by 19 cm. This gave the 125 a significantly larger trunk and an overall more luxurious equipment. The engine produced an impressive 90 hp for the time, so that the 125 was regarded as a family vehicle with sporting ambitions. Fiat built the 125 until 1972 in Turin and then until 1982 in South America.

General information about the vehicle:

In this auction a Fiat 125 from 1971 can be purchased. The vehicle with the VIN 125AO497630 has already been partially restored and still has TÜV until June 2023. It is a German first delivery and currently the car is in the possession of the third vehicle owner. The seller excludes an accident during the current holding period. Although there is no longer a checkbook, the mileage of the Fiat is comprehensible according to the seller.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

The 125 is painted in green. According to the seller, the car has already been repainted. Optically, the sedan is apparently well preserved and no modifications deviating from the original condition can be found. In order to get a better impression of the exterior and its condition, we refer to the telling series of pictures of the vehicle.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

The Fiat stands on contemporary alloy wheels. The brakes attest to the seller 70-90% of the new condition and also chassis technology everything is fine. The brake system has already been completely overhauled. In this context, all brake hoses, the brake calipers and the master brake cylinder were renewed.

Interior:

The brown imitation leather interior harmonizes very nicely with the green paint on the outside. A two-spoke steering wheel as well as wood and chrome-plated trim elements adorn the interior. The exact condition of the interior can be found in the photos.

Mileage:

A mileage of 129,000 kilometers can be read from the speedometer of the Fiat. After consultation with the seller, there is no checkbook for the car, but the total mileage can be traced. All instruments in the interior work perfectly.

Engine:

The engine under the hood of the Fiat 125 draws an output of 90 hp from 1,608 cc displacement. This can accelerate the car to 100 km/h in 18 seconds. The engine of this vehicle has already been completely overhauled. The timing belt, which drives the two overhead camshafts, has been renewed. Likewise the tension pulley and the water pump. In addition, the alternator and the clutch were also renewed.

Subsoil:

Welding work has already been carried out on the underbody. Subsequently, the subsoil was preserved and cavities were sealed. For a detailed impression we refer to the photo gallery.

Who is this car for?

This Fiat 125 offers an ideal entry into the world of classic cars and can also be easily moved in everyday life. The powerful and maintenance-friendly double camshaft engine ensures a lot of driving pleasure, especially at high speeds.
