Model history
The BMW E9, the coupé of the E3 series, was produced from 1968 to 1975 and featured six-cylinder in-line engines with a displacement of 2.5 to 3.2 liters and an output of 150 to 205 hp. The 3.0 CSL, known as the Batmobile, was a homologation for touring car racing. With lightweight construction and aerodynamic improvements, it was the first product of BMW Motorsport GmbH. The legendary BMW 3.0 CSL was reissued as an art car and in a limited homage edition in November 2022.
