Vehicle description

Model history:

While the TR5 was still designed by Triumph's court designer Michelotti, the Italian-looking design of the TR6 presented in 1968 was created in Germany: The coachbuilder Karmann created a coherent, modern and yet timeless face that stands out from the crowd. Triumph's new model was particularly well received in the USA: these US models were equipped with two Stromberg carburettors due to stricter emission and consumption regulations, while the models built for Europe were fired by a mechanical Lucas injection system. By the end of production in 1976, almost 100,000 units of the TR6 roadster had been built.

General information about the vehicle:

Now a Triumph TR6, which comes from German first registration and has the chassis number CC76000L, is offered for auction. The car was first registered in 1972, over the years the roadster is said to have only 2 owners, according to the seller. The partially restored TR6 has a valid general inspection until June 2023 and the Triumph is already in possession of an H license plate. The so-called matching numbers are assumed and a complete checkbook for the roadster is available - so the history of the car can also be documented.

Exterior paint/paint/body:

According to the seller, repainting on the dark blue Triumph cannot be ruled out, but in general, according to him, the paint is in extremely good condition without any major inconsistencies. The fabric top of the British roadster is as blue as the paintwork, presenting itself without cracks. All chrome elements on the exterior are shiny and modifications deviating from the original condition are not recognizable on the body. For a detailed overview, we recommend looking through the meaningful series of pictures of this Triumph TR6 - in addition, the videos of the roadster give a very good insight.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

On original TR6 rims, tires are mounted with an estimated condition of 70-90% of their new condition, according to the seller. The current owner of the car also certifies 70-90% of the condition of the brakes and, according to him, there are no major defects in the area of the chassis.

Interior:

Black leather can be found in the interior of this TR6 from first registration in 1972, the perforated 3-spoke sports steering wheel is covered with leather and the linkage of the manual transmission is also covered with leather. With regard to the equipment features of this Triumph, a cassette radio should be mentioned, among other things, all other equipment can be found in the series of pictures of the vehicle. All instruments, displays and controls are fully functional and the top of the roadster can be unlocked, opened and closed and locked again without any problems. For more details regarding the interior of this TR6, please have a look at the other photos and videos.

Mileage:

The 5-digit speedometer of this Triumph shows a mileage of 17,100 kilometers. The seller mentions that there is a checkbook for this roadster and that the history as well as the total mileage can be proven with it.

Engine:

The in-line six-cylinder engine housed in the front of the car has a displacement of 2.5 liters - it provides 97 hp and is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. After consultation with the seller, the final service work took place in December 2022.

Subsoil:

The current owner describes the condition of the underbody as rust-free. Direct, honest, stylish – a Triumph Roadster can be brought to this triad. This TR6 offered for auction is a classic British roadster from the 1970s, which has a subtle color combination and a very good general condition. The seller also mentions that the roadster has always been maintained and regularly moved and also runs smoothly.

Guten Tag, meine untenstehende Frage vom 27.05. ist bisher unbeantwortet geblieben. Woran mag es liegen?

    • 27.05.2023 12:22
