Vehicle description
Model history:
The 911 of the 997 model series marked a return to the classic form for the sports car manufacturer Porsche when it was introduced in 2004. Spoilers and air intakes are again kept more discreet, and the oval headlights with separate turn signals bring a reflection on the "classic look" after the styling of the 996 influenced by the Boxster. The basic model of the 911 of the 997 series had a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 325 hp, which enabled a top speed of a good 285 km/h. By the end of production in 2012, Porsche had produced just over 211,000 units of all model variations of the 997, while almost 24,000 units of the classic Carrera Coupé had been produced.
General information about the vehicle:
Now a Porsche 911 Coupé of the generation 997 from the year of construction 2005 can be auctioned in this auction, which was delivered with the FIN WP0ZZZ99Z5S700515 in Germany for the first time and still has a total of 5 holders. A history is available and, according to the seller, the mileage can be traced by various receipts. 2 keys are available for the sports car from Zuffenhausen, TÜV has the 911 and the so-called matching numbers are assumed.
Exterior colour/varnish/body:
Repaints are not known to the seller of this Porsche 997 - the silver-gray exterior still impresses with its first paint. As an external defect, the current owner indicates dents that are located on the roof - but these do not include paint damage. Optical modifications to the body deviating from the original condition are apparently not recognizable and all plastic attachments obviously have a well-preserved condition. For more details, please have a look at the other photos and videos.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
Only 1 year old are the tires driven so far only about 2,000 kilometers old - the tires are mounted on original Porsche 5-spoke alloy rims. The condition of brakes and chassis classifies the current owner of this sports car from Zuffenhausen as good - inconsistencies can not be discovered according to him.
Interior:
The interior is classic black with the full leather seats and the 3-spoke leather steering wheel. Coarse signs of wear in the interior are apparently not visible and missing parts are not to be criticized. The following features are on board this Porsche 997: sunroof, power steering, central locking, electric windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control, suede headliner and a display radio. All equipment elements can be attributed a problem-free function and errors in the electrical system are obviously not present.
Mileage:
The 5 round instruments in the instrument cluster are typical 911: a mileage of 111,132 kilometres can be read on the digital speedometer. Proof of this mileage can be provided according to the seller's statements.
Engine
325 hp is generated by the water-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine, which is located in the rear of the vehicle. A 6-speed manual transmission brings the power to the road via the rear wheels. The Zuffenhausen sports car underwent a final service in autumn 2021.
Subsoil:
The seller describes the condition of the underbody as good - he also mentions that the catalytic converters and the lambda sensors have recently been replaced. After the 996, a Porsche 911 of the 997 generation once again offers the classic 911 front. This 997 from the year of construction 2005 offered here impresses with its discreet color combination, the good equipment and the low mileage. The seller mentions that only a small inspection is pending - after that this 997 can be enjoyed carefree.
