Model history
The Jaguar E-Type, also known as the Jaguar XK-E, was first unveiled at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show and immediately caused a sensation. The sports car, which was available as a coupé and convertible, combined breathtaking design with impressive performance. The E-Type was produced in three series: Series 1 (1961-1968), Series 2 (1968-1971) and Series 3 (1971-1975). The first series is best known for its powerful 3.8-liter engine, which was later upgraded to 4.2 liters. Series 3 introduced a new V12 engine, which provided even more power and catapulted the model into the league of the most powerful cars of its time. The E-Type is still considered an icon of automotive design today and is often described as one of the most beautiful cars of all time.
