Vehicle description

Model history:

In 1967, Aston Martin surprised the trade press with a relatively smooth styled model. This new type DBS was initially powered by the well-known six-cylinder engine - in 1969 the switch to a sporty V8 engine with 2x2 overhead camshafts took place. With this V8 engine, the Aston Martin DBS reached a top speed of 260 km/h. Unlike the DB 5 and DB 6, the DBS was designed as a full-fledged four-seater. To make this possible, the wheelbase (now 2,610 mm) was extended again and the car was brought to a total length of 4,590 mm. Only 402 examples of the Aston Martin DBS V8 were produced from 1970 to 1972.

General information about the vehicle:

Now one of only 402 produced Aston Martin DBS V8 is offered for auction in this auction. This British sports car was first registered in Great Britain in March 1971. According to the seller, a total of 2 vehicle owners are known for this British car, an extensive history of this car can be submitted. The so-called matching numbers are assumed, TÜV is done by the seller before the handover to the new owner.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Externally, this Aston Martin DBS V8 presents itself in a light blue metallic color: All attachments and trim elements on the vehicle are apparently preserved in complete and extremely good condition. The V8 also bears the DBS face with the two round twin headlights. The seller can rule out an accident, and no parking bumpers can be seen on the chrome bumpers at the front and rear. Modifications deviating from the original condition are not to be found on the exterior. For more details, please have a look at the other photos and videos.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

As rims, this DBS V8 carries original Aston Martin alloy wheels - on these rims tires with sufficient profile are mounted. According to the seller, inconsistencies in the brake system or in the area of the chassis are not to be mentioned.

Interior:

The main colour in the interior of the Aston Martin is black: many things such as the seats, the door panels and the dashboard are covered with leather. Due to the fact that the sports car was first delivered in Great Britain, it is a right-hand drive. Negative abnormalities or gross signs of wear can obviously not be detected in the interior of the DBS V8 - in addition, the seller refers to the extremely good and without missing parts preserved overall condition of the interior. In addition to power windows, the 3-spoke leather steering wheel and the contemporary radio are also to be listed as features. For a detailed overview of the interior, we refer to the other photos.

Mileage

Seven chrome-framed round instruments are located in the instrument panel of the DBS V8: A mileage of 89,900 kilometres can be read off on the speedometer. According to the seller, the total mileage of the vehicle can be proven by a rich history.

Engine

From 5.4-liter displacement, the V8 engine made of light alloy generates a whopping 379 hp - the power transmission to the rear axle takes over an automatic transmission.

Subsoil:

In view of the age of the vehicle and the total mileage of this car, the underbody can be attested to a very well preserved condition. An Aston Martin DBS offers elegance, performance and space for 4 people - in addition, the DBS produced from 1967 to 1972 still belongs to the David Brown era. An extensive history, the all-round healthy basic substance and the small number of only 402 copies make this DBS V8 a collector's item.
