Vehicle description

At its presentation in 1992, it was the production Ferrari with the highest displacement to date with just under 5.5 litres: we are talking about the 356 GT. Three years after the discontinuation of production of the Ferrari 412, it was high time for a new travel Gran Tourismo under the sign of the praising horse. With the 456 GT, Ferrari is returning to old virtues: the front evokes associations with the 512 TR, the rear resembles that of the Daytona and the gills in the front wheel arches are reminiscent of the legendary F40. From 1996, the 456 GT was also available with a four-speed automatic transmission, and from 1998 an improved M version (M for "Modificato") was offered. Few Ferraris are as formally reserved as a 456. The construction period lasted until 2004.

A Ferrari 456 GTA from 1998 is now offered for auction. The first delivery of the Gran Tourismo with the VIN ZFFWP50B000106849 took place to Japan, where only 1 owner drove the Ferrari. Over the years, the sports car from Maranello was then imported to Germany. A checkbook is available and also allows the history of the Ferrari to be traced. The 456 has matching numbers and has only recently undergone a new general inspection.

The blue metallic body presents itself accident-free: External defects as well as modifications to the body are apparently not present. The paint condition corresponds to the age and mileage of the 456 GTA, the Ferrari has not yet been repainted after consultation with the seller, so there is still the first paint on the vehicle. Four tailpipes provide grandeur, the rear bumper as well as the front bumper has no parking bumps. Traces of corrosion on the entire body are not present. The headlights are free of scratches and the windows show no traces of damage.

17-inch original Ferrari alloy wheels in curb-scratch-free condition, together with tyres in good condition, adorn the exterior appearance of the 456 GTA. In terms of brakes, there are no complaints to be made and the chassis is obviously still in its original condition.

The cockpit of the 456 GT is characterised by clarity and functionality, while blue full leather seats ensure a sporty but also comfortable seating experience. Door panels, interior carpet, dashboard, headliner and parts of the center console are also kept in blue. Damage to the entire interior is not to be found, the seats have no cracks, the switches and levers are not worn and the four-spoke steering wheel is in an unpolished state of preservation. Power steering, central locking, electric windows, air conditioning, ABS and radio are on board: all features have a full function. The seller notes that the window regulators have only recently been repaired.

The speedometer covers 7,914 kilometers: A complete on-board folder with operating instructions and customer service checkbook is available and shows itself to be completely guided, all maintenance work has been carried out on time. The mileage can therefore be proven beyond doubt. The instruments in the interior perform their duties without any problems.

The number 456 stands for the content of a cylinder in cubic centimeters: This results in a total volume of almost 5.5 liters of displacement due to the twelve-cylinder engine. Built at an almost classic 65-degree angle, this four-valve V12 with two overhead camshafts and Bosch multipoint injection delivers 436 hp. Shifting is via a four-speed automatic transmission, which transmits the power to the rear wheels. The last service was carried out at kilometer 7,183, the technology shows itself without abnormalities. There is no rust on the underbody of the Ferrari 456 GTA, and no damage such as scratches from putting on or denting are visible.
