Between 1968 and 1975, the BMW E9 3.0 CS was introduced as a new mid-size car. This vehicle was part of the renowned BMW E9 series, also known as the New Class. The E9 series was introduced in 1968 and was a further development of the successful BMW 02 series. With a modern body, a longer wheelbase and a more spacious interior, the 3.0 CS set new standards in terms of comfort.
