The Buick Wildcat is a striking full-size car that was produced by Buick between 1963 and 1970. The name goes back to a series of concept cars of the 1950s and symbolizes a sportier line within Buick's B-Body segment. As a more powerful model, the Wildcat was positioned above the LeSabre but below the larger Electra and replaced the Invicta series. After two generations and numerous further developments, the Wildcat was replaced by the Buick Centurion in 1971.

Technik: Der Buick Wildcat war ein Pkw der oberen Mittelklasse, der von Herbst 1962 bis Ende 1970 den der General Motors Konzern unter der Automobilmarke Buick als Nachfolger des Invicta hergestellt wurde. Gegenüber dem normalen Invicta besaß der Wildcat auch noch Einzelsitze, eine Mittelkonsole mit Drehzahlmesser und Automatikwählhebel (TurbineDrive-Automatik), besondere Dekorstreifen an den Fahrzeugseiten, ein Vinyldach und ein eigenes Emblem: Den stilisierten Kopf einer Wildkatze an den beiden C-Säulen. Der Wildcat hatte die drei Lüftungsöffnungen an den vorderen Kotflügeln wie der Invicta und der LeSabre, ein Design nur für das Modelljahr 1963. LG Tom
