Model history

The first Maserati Quattroporte was introduced in 1963 and, with a top speed of 220 km/h, was one of the fastest production saloons in the world. The Quattroporte II introduced in 1974 - of which only a handful were produced - was followed in 1979 by the production of a third Quattroporte series, which was to build on the success of the first Quattroporte under the new Maserati owner De Tomaso. Initially, the Quattroporte III was equipped with a 4.2-liter eight-cylinder engine, later a 4.9-liter eight-cylinder engine was added. Just under 2,100 examples of the Maserati Quattroporte III were produced until 1986, and it was not until 1994 that the successor "Quattroporte IV" was launched on the market.

Furthermore, the Maserati was purchased as an investment and has therefore - in its current ownership - only rarely been driven. It should be mentioned that there are several deep and long scratches on the bodywork, which detract slightly from the overall appearance of the Maserati. Nevertheless, the Maserati is in an acceptable overall condition.
