Vehicle description

The Continental GT was the first Bentley to be developed and built under the direction of Volkswagen, sometimes even in Germany, namely in Dresden. Accepting this was a bitter pill for many British patriots, but the GT became an international success and because of the high demand there were long waiting times. The presentation of the Continental GT took place in 2003 at the Geneva Motor Show, the first generation was built until 2011. The W12 engine of the VW Phaeton served as the drive – but the engine was still equipped with a turbocharger. In total, more than 23,000 units of the Bentley Continental GT – mostly handmade – were produced.

The Bentley offered for auction in this auction is a Continental GT Mansory from the year 2005, which was imported from Japan to Germany. According to the seller, the Gran Turismo with the FIN SCBCE63W45C025770 has only 2 holders and the matching numbers are given. The history of the Bentley can also be traced back for the most part, as a checkbook and various documents are available. TÜV and a full acceptance does not currently have the vehicle, the last main inspection was valid until January 2022.

Whether repaints have been made on the car, the current owner can not say exactly, but the black paint of the Bentley shines apparently in very good used condition, only slight signs of wear can be detected on closer inspection. Furthermore, the gap dimensions are in harmless condition, according to the owner, the Continental GT is accident-free. Characteristic style elements on the Bentley are the 4 headlights and the many chrome grilles at the front of the Gran Turismo. At the rear, the 4 rectangular exhaust tailpipes in particular attract attention. On the rear bumper, as well as on the front bumper, no parking bumps can be detected. In addition, no modifications to the exterior of the Continental GT are objectionable.

Toyo tyres from the 2017 production year, which are in acceptable condition, are mounted on original 21-inch Mansory alloy wheels. On the front and rear axles, the tyres have a dimension of 285/30. The seller classifies the tires as well as the brakes at 30-50% of their new condition. No modifications are recognizable on the chassis, this is apparently without defects.

In the interior, the typical atmosphere of a luxury GT prevails: a full leather interior in the color beige harmonizes well with the wood veneers, which can be seen in the area of the door panels, the dashboard and the center console. With the exception of a heavily stressed driver's seat cheek, only minimal signs of wear and tear can be mentioned in the interior. The various equipment options inside the Bentley Continental GT Mansory are rich. The equipment list includes: power steering, central locking, electric windows, electric seat adjustment with memory, driver and front passenger airbag, heated seats, air conditioning, cruise control and an infotainment system with navigation system.

Round instruments set in chrome and appear straightforward can be seen in the speedometer unit: the total mileage of the Bentley Continental GT is 60,400 kilometres. This mileage must be proven by a partially guided checkbook. Also striking is the flawless functioning of all instruments and displays in the interior.

Looking at the engine compartment, the W12-cylinder engine, which is also known from the VW Phaeton – but in the Bentley comes by turbocharging (twin-turbo) to 560 hp. This power is transmitted by a 6-speed automatic. In 2020, the Continental GT underwent a final service, defects on the part of the engine or transmission are not detected, according to the seller.

If you look at the underside of the Bentley, obviously no corrosion can be detected: the entire underbody is in an age-appropriate good condition. A Bentley Continental GT exudes luxury and performance due to its name alone. But not only the inner values are convincing, but also due to the beautiful silhouette of a Bentley Continental GT with its elegantly curved lines, this Gran Tourismo not only convinces fans of British automobiles. A classic colour combination, the low mileage and the partly comprehensible history speak for the coupé offered for auction in this auction. As soon as you have completed the TÜV and a full acceptance, you drive a luxury sports car with special technology.
