After BMW and Mercedes-Benz fought for years for supremacy in the luxury class, the Bavarians tried to strike a final blow in 1987: the 7 Series E32 series introduced last year received a V12 engine. It was the first German twelve-cylinder engine after the Second World War. The 5.0-liter engine mobilized a smooth 300 hp. That was just as much as the eight-cylinder engine of the Mercedes-Benz 560 SE, but it couldn't quite keep up in terms of smoothness. And the prestige of 12 cylinders could hardly be beaten at the end of the 1980s. In addition, thanks to the standard damper setting Sport and Comfort, the 7 Series achieved a hitherto unique balancing act between the two opposites.
Now it is possible to purchase a BMW 750i of the E32 series from the year of construction 1989 in this auction. The 3rd hand twelve-cylinder sedan with the FIN WBAGB81060DC2677 was registered for the first time in Germany on 22.12.1989 and, according to the seller, was always in the hands of vehicle enthusiasts. In addition to 3 vehicle keys, there is also an expert opinion for the classification of this 750i as a classic car, which was carried out in 2021. The history of the E32 can be regarded as widely traceable, as many documents on the BMW are available. At the moment, the TÜV runs until August 2023 – but the seller notes that a new general inspection will be carried out before the handover. Worth mentioning are the given matching numbers.
Before the V8 models appeared in 1992, the large BMW kidney grille was a privilege of the twelve-cylinder. The body of this 750i is kept in "diamond black metallic", which is in a very good – according to seller statements partially repainted condition – except for minor defects in the paint. All plastic and chrome applications on the exterior of the BMW are complete and in perfect condition. Striking at the rear: The L-shaped taillights were to become the distinguishing feature of BMW models for years. Neither on the rear bumper nor on the front bumper can traces of a parking bumper be detected – according to the current owner, no accident took place during its holding period.
Tyres from the production year 2019 with a good profile according to the seller are mounted in the dimension of 235/45 to 17 inches BMW light alloy wheels of the type 21 M. The current holder can also classify the condition of the brake system as good and according to this there are no deficits in the area of the chassis.
Root veneer, cowhide seat covers and stylish details conjure up a dignified luxury ambience without any fashionable intrusiveness in the interior of the BMW 750i E32 series. Except for a slightly worn driver's seat cheek and a slightly worn leather steering wheel, no complaints can be taken from the interior of this twelve-cylinder sedan, which would disturb the otherwise well-groomed overall impression. In addition to the grey full leather seats, the equipment of this 750i includes the following features: electric sunroof, electric windows, electric seat adjustment, central locking, power steering, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control, on-board computer, music system and a Pioneer accessory radio.
191,070 kilometres can be seen on the display in the cockpit of the BMW. Many former invoices, receipts and various other documents are available on the history of this BMW. All instruments must be accorded a fully functioning constitution.
The intake manifolds of the 5.0-liter twelve-cylinder engine, which was created from the base of the 2.5-liter M20 engine, are accurately arranged. Via a ZF 4-speed automatic, the individual gears are engaged without any problems and the power of the 12 cylinders is released onto the road via the rear axle. In September 2019, a final service took place, in which the cylinder head gasket was also renewed – in August 2021, the oil was last changed. Recent repair work includes: the renewal of the manifold seals and the replacement of the water hose. Furthermore, the Simmering at the differential input was renewed and the connection piece of the cardan shaft was removed to the differential to replace the Simmering. In addition, the preload of the tapered disc wheel was adjusted and an oil change was carried out on the rear axle. Both steering boxes on the rear axle were also replaced and an original compensation tank was renewed. According to the seller statements, there are no current repairs pending.
In really good shape in view of the vehicle age and the mileage of this BMW, the underbody condition is preserved. A BMW 7 Series E32 series perfectly embodies the beauty ideal of a sedan: the proportions flat and wide, the dual headlight face striking and authoritarian. If you are looking for a sense of space, driving dynamics and power delivery at the same time, you can hardly avoid a BMW E32, as these 3 elements are at a high level, especially in the twelve-cylinder engine. In addition, the 750i represents the crowning glory in BMW engine construction.

Gerne doch. Vor allem handelt es sich bei den 23ern um gewöhnliche Gussfelgen und nicht wie bei den 21ern um eine Magnesiumfelge. Des Weiteren ist es für mich fraglich ob die 23er auf einem e32 zulässig sind, da diese gewöhnlich auf e36 und z3 montiert sind.
