    Technik: Der 928 war das Spitzenmodell von Porsche, das Anfang der 1980er-Jahre den Porsche 911 ablösen sollte. Zum Modelljahr 1980 erhielt der 928 ein stärkeres Parallelmodell, das im September 1979 auf der IAA in Frankfurt gezeigt worden war. Der 928 S hatte einen leistungsstärkeren Motor, der aus 4664 cm³ Hubraum eine max. Leistung von 221 kW (300 PS) lieferte. Erreicht wurde dieser Leistungszuwachs durch den größeren Hubraum und eine höhere Verdichtung von 10:1, weshalb der Wagen mit Superkraftstoff betankt werden musste. Mit dieser Motorisierung erreichte das Fahrzeug eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 250 km/h und beschleunigte aus dem Stand auf 100 km/h in 6,6 Sekunden. Das Fachblatt Auto, Motor und Sport stellte fest: „Auf der Autobahn spielt der große Porsche seine Trümpfe aus“. LG Tom
