Vehicle description

Model history:

With the new Porsche 911 of the 996 model series, four-valve technology with two overhead camshafts was used for the first time. And the water cooling was comprehensible from a technical point of view, as this technology could be used to further expand the range of services. In addition, without the new water cooling and the four-valve technology, the exhaust gas and noise regulations of the time would not have been complied with. As a drive type, you could choose between rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, between coupé, Targa or convertible. More than 175,000 units of the 996 rolled off the production line between 1997 and 2006 – making the 996 series the most-built 911 series to date.

General information about the vehicle:

Now in this auction a Porsche 996 from the year 2003 is offered for auction, which is an import from Japan and according to the seller has a total of 3 holders. The car with the VIN WP0ZZZ99Z3S604202 is assumed to have the so-called matching numbers, TÜV owns this 911 until March 2024 and due to a complete checkbook, the history of this sports car can be proven beyond doubt.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

As an exterior color, the 996 carries a classic black color - repaints are not to be mentioned after consultation with the current owner, which means that this Porsche 911 still wears its first paint. The seller describes the body condition as damage-free, and all plastic attachments to the car are completely and defect-free. It is also worth mentioning that no modifications were made to the exterior of this 911 in any way that deviated from the original condition. The exact condition of the paint and all attachments can be found in the further photos.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

On original Porsche alloy rims in silver, tires of the brand Hankook are mounted, which have sufficient profile and, according to the current owner, still have 70-90% of their new condition. Also 70-90% of the condition of the brake system has according to the statements of the seller. Apparently no inconsistencies can be found in terms of chassis.

Interior:

Just like the exterior, the interior is largely black, ensuring a discreet sporty look. Neither on the leather seats, nor on the door panels or in the area of the footwell carpet are gross defects to be listed, which could spoil the good overall impression of the interior of this 996. In addition to heated seats, this sports car also has a Pioneer Display accessory radio. For a detailed overview of the interior, we refer to the many other photos. Overall, the interior is to be attributed a well-groomed condition.

Mileage

On the display in the middle of the 5 round instruments in the instrument cluster, a mileage of 89,240 kilometers can be read - the total mileage of this Porsche 996 can be documented by a continuous checkbook. All instruments and displays work without any problems.

Engine

In the rear works a 3.6-liter water-cooled boxer engine, which provides an output of 320 hp. Gears are shifted via a 5-speed automatic transmission called Tiptronic – here the driver can select the gears on the steering wheel if desired. A final service was carried out after consultation with the current owner at KM stand 86,000.

Subsoil:

As rustproof and undamaged, the seller of this Porsche 996 indicates the condition of the underside of the sports car. A 996 has long been an integral part of the long line of 911 ancestors, and as the first 911 with water cooling, this series also laid the foundation for a new Porsche era. This 99 offered here impresses with its all-round good condition, the low comprehensible mileage and the classic color combination in black / black.
