Vehicle description

Lotus connoisseurs like to refer to the Lotus Exige as the aggressive brother of the pretty Elise: The hardtop coupé was created for racing and, unlike the Elise, has a hatchback. The Series 1, built from the year 2000 onwards, was followed by the 2nd generation in 2004 with optimised aerodynamics and higher downforces. The Series 2 was followed by the Series 3 from 2012: This generation with A V6 engine was equipped with a slightly longer wheelbase compared to its predecessors, and the chassis with a wider track width and the newly developed rear axle suspension were also revised. In 2021, Lotus announced its intention to discontinue the series – which is why the last limited edition was the so-called "Final Edition".

The Lotus offered in this auction is a Lotus Exige 390 "Final Edition" from the year of manufacture 2021. This new car with only 2,300 kilometers on the clock was registered only recently (on 17.06.2022) and has only 2 owners. The VIN of this sports car is SCCLKHFC4MHD11298, the first delivery of the Exige took place in Germany. In addition to 2 vehicle keys, the Lotus has a TÜV until June 2025, all documents for the car as well as the entire on-board folder are of course present.

Strictly trimmed for aerodynamics, the silhouette of this Lotus Exige Final Edition is: This new car in grey with its various black accents provides an aggressive look. No component on the vehicle has even the slightest defect – according to the seller, this Exige 390 is in complete original condition without modifications. The hardtop of this car has the function of a Targa roof and can be removed. Attached to the body are stickers indicating the Final Edition.

As good as new tyres of the Brand Michelin – model Pilot Sport 4 – are mounted in the dimension of 205/45 on the front axle with 17 inch rims and 265/35 on the rear axle with 18 inch rims. The black 10-spoke alloy wheels are forged. Neither in the area of the brakes nor in the chassis area deficits are to be enumerated.

The interior of the Lotus Exige 390 Final Edition features the "Final Edition" plaque and stitched seats. Overall, such an Exige exudes a lot of racing feeling, because – after you have overcome the wide sills – you let yourself fall into the seats and notice that the distance between the road and the seating position is only wafer-thin. The manual transmission protrudes undisguised from the middle of the car and challenges you directly to move the Exige sporty. According to the seller, the features of this Exige include: central locking, electric windows, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control and a radio.

On the so-called TFT dashboard with the selection of 2 screens – one with conventional displays and the other in race car style – only 2.300 kilometers can be read: This Lotus Exige has not covered more distance since its delivery. Of course, all instruments work perfectly. The complete on-board folder, with all documents, which were given at the delivery, are available.

The V6 engine – which has a displacement of 3.5 litres – is driven via supercharger and thus has 402 hp at 7,000 rpm in the 390 variant. The maximum torque is 420 NM. In just 3.7 seconds, the sprint from zero to 100 is done. Via a 6-speed manual transmission, the power of the engine is transmitted to the rear wheels.

According to the 2.300 kilometers of mileage, the underbody condition of this Lotus is also evident. A go-kart for adults: This is how a Lotus Exige can be described in a few words. But words are not enough to describe such a sports car – you have to feel the Exige. As a so-called Final Edition special model, this Lotus Exige 390 stands out in particular, as it is one of the last of its kind.
