Model history

The Jaguar Mark 2, introduced in 1955, embodied British understatement in its purest form. With engines ranging from 2.4 liters to a powerful 3.8 liter straight-six, it offered an impressive range of performance. Its body adopted basic features from the XK-150 sports car, refined with minor adjustments. Some design elements were still reminiscent of the pre-war style, such as the headlights positioned close together and the rounded rear end. However, the window areas are 18 percent larger than on the predecessor model, giving the vehicle an unmistakable look. This characteristic appearance made the Jaguar Mark 2 a timeless classic with worldwide popularity.
