Vehicle description

Highlights and general information

For sale is a Peugeot 504 Coupé from 1979 in the color Brun Métallisé and an interior in beige velour.

Highlights

  • Partially restored
  • Features include: Power steering, electric windows, modern RetroSound radio with Bluetooth, iPhone control and hands-free system
  • Approx. 7,000 € investment
    • Spare parts, mainly brakes, radio and small service parts
    • In addition, approx. 100 hours of own work
  • The previous owner bought the Peugeot from a dealer in the Netherlands in 2016. The seller bought the car from her for his wife because she always loved the color of the car in her Peugeot book. And it's her vintage. Unfortunately, she can no longer drive due to illness. Only two or three trips were made each year to classic car meetings or into the countryside with the beautiful Coupe.
  • At classic car meetings, the Coupé is often surrounded by curious people because 504 Coupes are rarely seen. The supply of spare parts for technical parts is easy and inexpensive, as the saloon is almost identical. There are specialists and a very well-organized club for coupé-specific parts.
  • A few new spare parts are provided.
  • The original on-board tools and literature are also included.

Model history

The Peugeot 504, introduced in 1968, not only excelled on the road, but also in rallying. The 504 V6 saloon and coupé won the Bandama Rally and the Moroccan Rally twice (1975 and 1976) as well as the Safari Rally and the Côte d'Ivoire Rally in 1978. A legend that triumphed on both asphalt and gravel and, despite its robust technology, has a very elegant appearance.

Known defects

  • The paint had blistered in some places before the car was purchased. Most areas were sanded down to check for rust. Fortunately, there were no holes, so the areas were repainted. The color is not 100% spot on.
  • There are a few small scratches (e.g. roof, hood, window frame, mudguards) and dabbed-out areas.
  • There is a crack in the front left blinker.
  • The seat fabrics are in good condition, but some seams have come undone and there are three small holes.
  • The windshield has a very small stone chip outside the field of vision. According to the seller, there were no problems with the TÜV/ HU.
  • Please take a look at the photo gallery and videos to get further impressions of the vehicle's condition.
