Model history
- The Mercedes-Benz W112 not only impressed with its elegant design and striking tail fin, but also with its powerful engines. The 3.0-liter engine of the 300 SE and 300 SEL delivered impressive performance, combined with technological innovations such as air suspension. This not only gave the vehicle style, but also outstanding driving dynamics. Mercedes drove these models successfully in rallies and circuit races all over the world. Eugen Böhringer became European Rally Champion in a racing fin in 1962.

Known defects
- The seller points out that he would have to look at the car in peace and quiet and also drive it regularly again in order to be able to answer the question about defects with certainty (the car has driven 327 km since the 2020 MOT appointment)
- The water pump was overhauled in 2019 and the Getrag gearbox and a new release bearing were installed in 2022 It is strongly recommended to have both checked after careful running-in, i.e. especially the adjustment of the clutch. The speedometer deviates after the conversion. If the buyer wishes to change this, he could, for example, fit an adjustment gearbox.
- The heating valves are not connected to the levers
- The end caps from the sill chrome strips are missing
- The hinges of the trunk lid close too easily after treatment with WD40
- No defect, but for information: The chrome strip of the passenger door is long from the 300SE
- According to the pictures, seals have slight porosity due to age
- Some micro scratches on the chrome strips
- Please take a look at the photo gallery and videos for further insight into the condition of the vehicle.
