The 208 GT4 was produced especially for the Italian market from 1975, as a luxury tax was levied on cars with more than 2.0 liters in Italy at that time. To compensate for the lack of displacement in the 208 GT4 compared to the 308 GT4, the Italian engineers have chosen a different gear ratio. While more than 2,800 units of the 308 GT4 were produced, the 208 GT4 came to just over 800 units.

The Ferrari Dino 208 GT4 from 1977 offered in this auction is one of only 840 units worldwide. As intended, this Dino was first delivered to Italy, where the first owner allowed it for the first time in July 1977. To date, this Sports car designed by Bertone with the chassis number F106CL13410 has only 2 holders. After consultation with the seller, he states that the 208 GT4 has already undergone a complete restoration over the years and that the history of the vehicle can be traced back through various documents. Sharp edges and clear lines shape the exterior of the Ferrari Dino 208 GT4, the body is kept in a paint color called "Verde Pino" and impresses except for a few existing traces of use by their good condition for the age of the car.
