Model history
In 1962, the BMW 1602 ushered in the era of the BMW 2 Series. An entry-level model of the BMW brand, somewhat smaller than the conventional saloons of the time and also cheaper. Wilhelm Hofmeister, BMW's design director, commissioned the two designers Georg Bertram and Manfred Rennen with the two-door project. They shortened the design and made it somewhat lighter, so that the BMW 1602 was a sporty version of a compact car. In 1972, BMW then introduced a very special version of it, namely the BMW 1602 electric drive. This was used as a VIP shuttle at the Olympic Games in Munich. Only two cars of this version exist worldwide.

Summary of the car
This BMW 1602 from 1975 in mint green with cognac-colored interior is in a good and well-maintained condition. The car has been in third hand since 2005 and has undergone extensive investment of just under €10,000 to prepare it for H-license plate re-registration.
