Model history
- Planned in 1964, the first Ford Mustang GT rolled off the assembly line a year later. It was the birth of an absolute classic. Its perfect proportions, characterized by a long hood and a short rear, give the Mustang an irresistible charm and characteristic, despite its simple technology. The first generation of the Mustang offered a choice of an inline six-cylinder or V8 engines, with the early models carrying 4.3-liter and later 4.8-liter displacement.
