The 1973 Fiat 500 was the last model in the classic 500 series, known as the Fiat 500 R (Rinnovata). This version of the iconic small car was produced from 1972 to 1975. The 500 R was equipped with an improved 594 cc two-cylinder engine that produced 18 hp. Despite the more powerful engine, the vehicle retained its compact dimensions and characteristic design. The 500 R was the last revision before the Fiat 126 was introduced as its successor. This model generation marked the end of an era for the popular Italian city car.
