Model history
The BMW 8 Series started in 1990 with the 850i model, which was powered by a powerful 5.0-liter V12 engine with 300 hp and was available with either a 4-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. In the fall of 1993, the model received an update and was renamed the 850Ci. From October 1994, the newly developed 5.4-liter M73 V12 engine, which was also installed in the BMW 750i, was added. This further development brought an increased output of 326 hp and improved compression.

Comments of this past auction
