Model history

The BMW 850 CSi is the top model of the first 8 Series (E31), which BMW produced between 1989 and 1999. The vehicle was positioned as a luxurious sports coupé and was powered by the revised 5.6-liter V12 engine (S70B56), which produced 380 hp and gave the car impressive driving performance. The 850 CSi was also equipped with a special suspension set-up and sophisticated rear-axle steering, which ensured precise handling. Visually, the model was distinguished by widened aprons and striking four-flow tailpipes, which underlined its special position in the model series. The vehicle presented here is a further development by MANHART, as an M8 predecessor of the time could have been presented.
