  • Stig Blomqvist took 2nd place with this very Audi at the 1983 rally in Sweden. Stig Blomqvist was World Rally Champion in 1984 and World Rally Vice-Champion in 1985

The Audi 80 Quattro Gr.A from 1983 marks a milestone in the history of rallying, as well as in the history of Audi. With its powerful 2.2-liter injection engine generating 194 hp and a manual gearbox, this vehicle was specially developed for rallying. At the 1983 Rally Sweden, with racing driver Stig Blomqvist, the vehicle caused a sensation and finished in second place. In the 1984 and 1985 rallies, the Audi took 3rd place and was champion in the other two rallies. To this day, the Audi 80 Quattro Gr. A is considered to be absolutely unique and has enormous value among collectors and enthusiasts.
