Vehicle description

Model history:

The development of the Citroën 2CV began in the mid-1930s, but due to the war, the "duck" was finally presented in 1948 at the Paris Motor Show. The 2CV actually had everything to reach its destination safely. In addition to a two-cylinder engine, this included a lot of durability and reliability, because other things that were dispensable had been dispensed with from the outset. Actually, the front-wheel drive "deux chevaux" was assigned to the small car in terms of engine data – but its four-door body with rolling roof corresponded more to the concept of the lower middle class. By 1990, more than 3.8 million 2CV sedans had been produced.

General information about the vehicle:

The Citroën released for auction here is a 2CV from 1979, which was registered in Germany for the first time. A total of 3 holders are known for this 2CV with the chassis number AZKA51KA1030 - although no checkbook can be presented to the car, but the mileage is partly comprehensible according to the seller. Meanwhile, this 2CV does not yet have a valid TÜV.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Over the years, a partial restoration of this white duck has taken place: Among other things, the complete paint was new. Modifications to the exterior deviating from the original condition cannot be detected and all attachments as well as the rolling roof are available in good condition. The current owner confirms that there is no accident in the current possession. The exact condition of the exterior as well as more details can be found in the other photos and videos.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

After consultation with the seller, the tires must be renewed, the brake system he estimates a condition of 30-50%. Inconsistencies in the chassis are obviously not to be listed.

Interior:

Just like the exterior, most of the interior is white: at least the imitation leather seats of this Citroën 2CV and the door panels are presented in this color. Characteristic of a duck are the turret circuit and the simple arrangement of the various switches and controls. Everything you need to drive is on board - no more and no less. In view of the now over 40 years of vehicle age, the interior can be said to be in good condition. To get a detailed picture of the interior condition, we recommend looking through the meaningful photo series.

Mileage:

The Veglia speedometer instrument cluster shows a mileage of 77,660 kilometers: The seller notes that the mileage can be partially traced.

Engine

From almost 600 cc, the air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine of the Citroën 2CV brings out 24 hp in this model. The gears are engaged via a 4-speed manual transmission (turret gearshift) and the power is transferred to the front wheels.

Subsoil:

As partially welded, the seller describes the condition of the underbody of this Citroën. It is precisely the simple design of the duck that brings us back down to earth compared to today's cars with their numerous assistance systems. The standard rolling roof provides a feeling of freedom and the engine power for deceleration. As soon as this 2CV offered here has TÜV again, it can be enjoyed by the owner in its full extent on the road.
