Vehicle description

Model history:

In 1993, the new 911 from Porsche was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main. Its designation: 993. Compared to the 964, the smoothed body with the more inclined headlights and the wide rear not only looks much more modern, it also increases in rigidity. Although the air-cooled boxer has the same bore-stroke ratio and dual ignition as the engine of the 964, the more hp allows for better driving performance. From the 1996 model year, there was a so-called Vario Ram intake system, which improved the torque curve. In 1998, the last 993 and at the same time the last air-cooled Porsche finally rolled off the production line.

General information about the vehicle:

In this auction it is possible to bid for a Porsche 993 Carrera with "Exclusive equipment" ex works. According to the seller, this model is the last air-cooled Porsche from the production year 1997. This 911 was first registered in the USA (a CarFax for the time in the USA is available and documents 2 holders), over the years the sports car then came to Germany, where 2 owners can also be named. According to the seller, the Porsche is maintained in a checkbook and the history of the coupé can be traced. The HU has only recently been redone. It is also worth mentioning that the vehicle has matching numbers.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Almost 50 kilometers ago, according to the seller, this car received a complete preparation / refinement with Zuffenhausen Swisswax products, so that the black paint of the 911 now shines in full shine. All plastic attachments are completely preserved on the exterior and in good condition and the seller can completely rule out an accident. In addition, no modifications to the body deviating from the original condition can be detected. For more details regarding the body, the paint condition and the condition of all add-on parts of this 911, we refer to the many photos and videos of the vehicle.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

Original 5-spoke Porsche alloy wheels in the size of 17 inches are tired with brand new Goodyear Eagle F1. In the area of the chassis, a Bilstein coilover suspension was used, inconsistencies in the brake system are not recorded.

Interior:

Just like the body of the Porsche, the entire interior of this 993 Carrera is entirely black. In addition to the fully electrically adjustable leather seats, the following equipment features are also on board the Zuffenhausen sports car, according to the optional equipment codes: heated seats, comfort seat on the left, engine sound package, oval exhaust tailpipes, limited-slip differential 40%, automatic brake differential (ABD), electric exterior mirror left, rear windscreen wiper, cruise control, electric sunroof, Porsche CD CDR radio. All controls, instruments and displays in the interior can be said to function perfectly.

Mileage

5 round instruments are typical of Porsche-911 and provide the driver with the necessary information - the speedometer is integrated in the speedometer, on which almost 96,600 miles can be read: This mileage can be traced according to the seller.

Engine

The 286 hp 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine recently underwent major maintenance with all fluids changing and replacing the 12 spark plugs. In addition, the chain boxes have been sealed and the coupling has been new. The gears of this Porsche 993 Coupé are engaged via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Subsoil:

A healthy substance can obviously be taken from the underside of this Porsche - inconsistencies can not be detected. The seller states that this 993 can be driven flawlessly and that the German engineering skills can be felt everywhere - in addition, the service intervals were regularly carried out by Porsche specialists and the car itself is said to have been moved only in good weather with seasonal license plates. Now this 993 Carrera of the last air-cooled Porsche 911 generation is looking for a new owner.
