Vehicle description
Model history:
At the Geneva Motor Show in 1963, Lancia presented the Fulvia sedan Berlina, which is considered the successor to the Lancia Appia. The front-wheel drive concept with front subframes had been taken over from the Lancia Flavia, but the drive was not a boxer, but a V-engine with 4 cylinders, which is unusually tight due to the narrow cylinder angle of almost 13 degrees. If one includes the Fulvia Coupé, which was available from 1965, a total of almost 340,000 units of the Lancia Fulvia series were produced, which were produced until 1976 (production of the sedan was discontinued in 1972).
General information about the vehicle:
The Lancia Fulvia offered in this auction is a sedan from the year of construction 1963. This 1C Berlina comes from Italy and was driven by the first owner in Ragusa for 40 years - after that the Lancia came to its second owner at Salerno. Finally, the Italian sedan came to the third and at the same time last owner, who registered the car in Italy, but drives it in Germany. After consultation with the seller, the history of Fulvia can be partially traced through various available documents. TÜV has this Berlina until February 2023 and the so-called matching numbers are given according to the seller information.
Exterior Color/Paint/Body:
In terms of paint, the Fulvia 1C Berlina, which is offered here for auction, presents itself in a brown shade: According to the statements of the current owner, repainting has already taken place, but a complete restoration has never been carried out on this vehicle - that's why the Fulvia 1C Berlina is still largely in untouched original condition. The seller states that the front bumper has already been soldered. For a more accurate assessment of the body and paint condition, we refer to the large number of photos. Apparently, all decorative parts on the exterior are completely preserved, an accident can exclude the current owner in his holding period.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
Toyo brand tyres from the 2018 production year are mounted on 14-inch original rims with chrome covers. The seller estimates the condition of the brakes to be between 50-70%. In terms of chassis technology, the articulated lever rubbers, tie rod rubbers, leaf spring rubbers and shock absorbers were recently new.
Interior:
The interior of this Lancia Fulvia 1C Berlina offers plenty of space: the fact that the gear lever is attached to the steering column creates a solid flat surface in the front footwell. The beige leather seats as well as the beige door panels harmonize very well with the black accents in the interior of this sedan. In addition to full leather trim, the range of equipment on board the Fulvia also includes contemporary radio. For more details of the interior, please take a look at the telling pictures and videos of this vehicle.
Mileage
34,780 kilometers can be read on the 5-digit speedometer of the Fulvia - whether the car has run 134,780 or 34,780 kilometers, the current owner can not say. However, it is clear that all instruments in the interior work.
Engine
The 1.1-liter engine in the bow of the Berlina delivers 58 hp, the individual gears are engaged via a steering wheel shift and the power of the V4 engine is delivered to the front wheels. According to the seller, a final service took place in 2020 and only recently the exhaust on the vehicle was renewed.
Subsoil:
Only light rust can be removed from the underside of the Fulvia Berlina. The foot plate on the driver's side was welded and resealed, otherwise according to the current holder, no subsequent welding work is recognizable. A Fulvia Berlina combines sportiness with space, and the sedan can also convince in terms of elegance. With this Lancia Fulvia 1C Berlina offered here, the future owner gets an honest vehicle, which is far ahead in terms of design and can be brought back into shape with a little effort - or you leave the authentic original condition and drive on.
