Model history:
Already in the summer of 1978, the Saab 900 was presented as a hatchback, in 1980 then as a notchback. It was not until 1986 that the notchback was cut open – and the first convertible of the Swedish brand Saab was created. In terms of engine, the Saab 900 offered various models in addition to the simply designed naturally aspirated engines, especially turbo enthusiasts. The first Saab 900 was finally built until 1994, the second generation then came under the direction of GM and no longer quite as iconic Swedish as the original model. A total of almost 1 million Saab 900 I were produced until 1994, it became one of the most successful models of the Saab brand.
General information about the vehicle:
Now a Saab 900 Turbo from 1989 can be purchased in this auction, which was imported from Finland and, according to the seller, has a total of 3 vehicle owners. The so-called matching numbers are assumed, a checkbook is available and the mileage can be partially traced. Until April 2024, this extensively restored turbo still has TÜV, it already bears an H plate.
Exterior colour/varnish/body:
Considering the overall mileage of this Saab 900 Turbo, the red paint of the Swede is in good condition. After consultation with the seller, the Saab got a paint job and the wheel arches of both front fenders were renewed. All plastic attachments are mounted on the car in complete and well-preserved condition and modifications deviating from the original condition are apparently not recognizable. An accident-free in the current possession is confirmed by the current owner of the vehicle.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
On so-called Saab "Aero" rims, tires are mounted in a condition of about 70-90%, according to the seller. The brakes were recently new and there are no inconsistencies in the area of the chassis.
Interior:
The condition of the interior is grey and black: In the course of the restoration work, the turbo was completely damped under the carpets and various other places were also insulated. In addition to the grey fabric seats and the 3-spoke steering wheel, there are also sunroof, power steering, central locking, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning (without function, as the hoses need to be replaced), ABS, cruise control and an accessory radio as features on board the 900. Mileage:
This Saab 900 Turbo has driven an incredible 405,170 kilometres since it was first registered in 1989. In addition to a partially kept checkbook, there is also a lot of literature and invoices that make the history of the car traceable. All displays in the instrument cluster work perfectly.
Engine
160 hp makes the 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo engine - the seller mentions that the engine has been completely restored and also the technology has been revised. Power is transmitted to the front wheels by a 5-speed manual transmission. In May 2022, final service work on the car took place. In the course of the engine overhaul, all relevant things were done. It is an engine overhaul, with renewal of the turbocharger, ignition system, ignition distributor, radiator system. The entire engine was resealed and planned. Accordingly, the Saab is technically very good. Various Skandix invoices are available.
Subsoil:
The seller mentions that a cavity preservation has been carried out on the underbody of this Saab 900 and the jack mount on the passenger side and the right tunnel show rust accumulation. Now this Turbo 900 is sold, because the seller has no more time to drive - many spare parts are available for the vehicle and are given. Am Getriebe wurde also nichts gemacht ? Bei 400.000 km und einem Turbomotor müsste das doch längst hinüber sein !? Oder wurde es einmal getauscht ?
Also bei Mir würde ein ölwechsel ( getriebe) gemacht, und Schlaltgestänge würde ersetzt, kann sein das die Getriebe ausgetauscht ist, schaltet wie es soll.
Wann wurde die Motorrevision gemacht, was wurde gemacht und wurde auch das Getriebe überholt, der Turbolader ?
Turbolader , zündverteiler ist Neu so wie kühlungsystem. Motorrevision 2017, seit demm keine 10tkm gelaufen
