Vehicle description

From 1997 onwards, Porsche tried to build up a stable economic basis with the 996 series in order to diversify in the coming years with volume models such as the Boxster and Cayenne. The 911 GT3 was to inherit the Carrera RS versions and dominate the GT series as a racing basis. The recipe: A stiffer chassis, less ballast and the absence of electronic aids (except ABS). Thus the ultimate 996 with naturally aspirated engine was born. During the turn of the millennium, this high-end driving device set a record on the Nordschleife: Walter Röhrl drove the 996 GT3 on the track in 7:56 – thus remaining below the 8-minute mark for the first time a production car.

The Porsche 911 GT3 offered in this auction comes from the 996 series and was built in 2000. The first delivery took place to Germany, then the Porsche came to Japan and finally back to Germany. The GT3 has a total of 2 previous owners with first registration in June 2000. A complete customer service history is available for the vehicle, the history of the 996 can be traced back perfectly. A general inspection can be carried out according to the seller's information for an extra charge. The car has 2 vehicle keys, matching numbers and an expert opinion are also still available for the GT3. The full acceptance must still be made after the sale.

After consultation with the seller, the accident-free Porsche 996 GT3 was minimally repainted on the right side due to slight scratch marks (which was also documented in the expert opinion), otherwise the sports car in black plain lacquer is in the first coat. Modifications to the body are obviously not objectionable. Otherwise, the paint is in age-appropriate condition, a few slight stone chips at the front can still be seen. The headlights are not faded and the front bumper, like the rear bumper, is not characterized by any parking bumpers. The striking rear spoiler proves to be free of defects.

Mounted on the 996 are the original GT3 alloy wheels in very good condition, on which Pirelli P-Zero tyres are mounted in good condition. Perforated disc brakes ensure decent braking performance, the brake technical condition can be described as good. No modifications are recognizable on the chassis.

The interior with its black full leather bucket seats is a well-kept and overall very good condition, the belts are kept in red. There is no damage to the interior, the steering wheel and especially the gear knob show hardly any signs of use. The equipment includes power steering, central locking, electric windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control and an original Porsche CDR-22 radio. The buttons and switches in the interior show no signs of wear and tear and are therefore in very good shape. Modifications in the interior are not to be found.

The speedometer shows a total mileage of 80,170 kilometers. The Porsche GT3 has a complete customer service history and, according to the seller, has always been serviced in the Porsche Center. All instruments are fully functional.

In the opening under the winged tailgate hides as usual the boxer. The GT3's 3.6-litre six-cylinder boxer engine delivers 356 hp and the gears are engaged via a 6-speed manual transmission. Obviously, there are no defects in the field of technology. A final customer service was carried out at 80,157 kilometers. On top of that, the operating hours and possible overturns were read out in the Porsche Center – no abnormalities were detected. The underbody is an absolutely rust-free and healthy condition, improperly carried out work is not to be found according to the owner on the underside of the Porsche 996 GT3.
