Model history
The Reliant Motor Company attempted to revitalize its model portfolio in the early 1990s with the Scimitar Sabre. After Beans Industries took over the company in August 1991, the new Sabre, first shown at the 1991 Earls Court Motor Show, was given an elegant, modernized design with smoother lines, wider wheel arches and color-coordinated bumpers. The car was equipped with various engines from Ford and Nissan. However, despite the stylish redesign and improvements, Reliant was unable to compete with the competition, which ultimately marked the end of the company's sports car production.

Summary
This rare Reliant Scimitar Sabre 1800 Ti from 1995 impresses in green metallic with a high-quality interior made of beige and gray leather from Wolldorf. As a rare intermediate model of the series, which was only produced from January to October 1993, this car is a real rarity - according to the Reliant Club, only 21 were built worldwide and only twice as a left-hand drive vehicle. The vehicle was originally manufactured for the Swiss market and is registered in Germany with individual approval - a unique example. The car, which was mainly parked in a dry garage on a lifting platform, has only completed around 500 kilometers since its registration in May 2021. With an as-new set of tires, alloy wheels and a well-preserved brake system, the Sabre is technically and visually in well-maintained condition.
Despite minor external defects - a crack on the left fender, paint chips and manually operated folding headlights - the Sabre impresses with its complete documentation, MOT until March 2026 and extensive history. An absolute collector's vehicle and unique specimen that is ready to conquer the roads in style.

Comments of this past auction
LG Tom
