The first generation of the BMW 8 Series, known as the E31, was produced between 1990 and 1999 as a luxurious Grand Tourer coupé. With its elegant design, advanced technology and powerful engines - either V8 or V12 - the E31 set new standards in the BMW portfolio. Although it replaced the 6 Series (E24) from 1990, it was not designed as a direct successor, but was positioned as an independent high-performance model with a significantly higher price and enhanced driving dynamics. The 8 Series combined comfort, sportiness and innovation in a vehicle that is still considered a modern classic today.

Guten Abend. In der Anzeige steht, dass der Wagen unfallfrei beim jetzigen Besitzer ist. Kann trotzdem beantwortet werden was an der Front passiert ist? Die Motorhaube steht in der Mitte leicht hoch und die eine Niere ist nach innen verschoben. Warum wurde der Kotflügel nachlackiert? Vielen Dank für ehrliche Antworten.
Hallo marco_frodermann, laut Verkäufer war am Kotflügel eine kleine Beule, weshalb dieser nachlackiert ist. Dem Verkäufer sind keine Unfallschäden bekannt. Beste Grüße - Ihr Kickdown Team

Technik: Der E31 war bis zur Einführung des E38 L7 im Jahr 1997 das teuerste Modell im BMW-Programm. Der Verkauf des E31 blieb letztlich hinter den Erwartungen zurück, obgleich vor dem Serienstart etwa 5.000 Kaufverträge unterzeichnet worden sein sollen und die Käufer beim Produktionsanlauf sich ganze drei Jahre gedulden mussten: In zehn Jahren wurden laut Liste (ohne die 18 BMW 830i, die niemals in den Verkauf gelangten, ohne die 3 Cabrio-Prototypen und ohne den M8-Prototyp) exakt 30.603 Exemplare des 8er gebaut. Der Absatz wurde durch die weltweite Rezession der frühen 1990er Jahre, den zweiten Golfkrieg und Energiepreiserhöhungen beeinflusst. Vor allem in den USA hatte BMW mit höheren Verkaufszahlen gerechnet, dort erwarteten die Käufer jedoch von solch einem schweren und teuren Fahrzeug mehr Leistung. BMW beendete den Absatz des Autos in Nordamerika im Jahr 1997. Einen Nachfolger für den 8er gab es zunächst nicht. Erst im Sommer 2003 ergänzte BMW seine Modellpalette mit einem größeren Coupé der oberen Mittelklasse, dem BMW 6er E63. Dieser basiert jedoch auf der 5er-Reihe und wurde günstiger als die konkurrierenden CL-Coupes von Mercedes-Benz angeboten. LG Tom
